Lost Olive (Children book project)

I worked on this project shortly after an experience that made me feel sad for a while. I tried to imagine what this experience could help me with and how I could build a story with a happy ending. In the end I did not finish the story, but these are some of the pages of it and I am certainly not giving up on the idea. One day I will put it all together into a book for children called "Lost Olive".
Meet Paul, who lives in a town with his parents and the family dog, Zig. The family is expecting a new member and Paul named her Olive when his Mummy gave him the happy news that he will soon have a little sister.
The family spends a lot of time together and Paul is looking forward to having a play companion soon. But right now his sister is in Mommy's belly and everyone is watching it grow day by day, like a flower.
Sometimes the belly takes a lot of space when looking at it from up close.
And so easily disappears at times, that Paul has to wonder whether it is still there.
But she can't hide for too long, because Olive looks like the moon, or like a basketball and sometimes like a balloon. It is impossible not to see her.
And yet one day Paul's parents seem to be sad and the balloon is no longer showing. Where could his sister have disappeared?
There are so many places where she could be. The town is big and many of his friends might want to have a sister, too.
He searches everywhere and nothing. No sign of Olive. The only thing left is to ask Mommy and Daddy what happened to his sister.
